Educational qualification
- Scientist ‘B’: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, Computer Science, or IT Engineering.
- Assistant Law Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) with 5 years of experience.
- Senior Technical Supervisor: Degree in Instrumentation Engineering with 3 years of experience.
- Senior Scientific Assistant: Master’s Degree in Science with 2 years of experience.
- Technical Supervisor: Graduate degree with required typing speed
- Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree with typing skills
- Accounts Assistant: Commerce Degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Junior Translator: Master’s Degree in Hindi or English.
- Senior Draughtsman: Degree in Civil Engineering with 3 years of experience.
- Junior Technician: Diploma in Electronics Engineering with 1 year of experience.
- Senior Laboratory Assistant: 12th Passed with Science and 3 years of experience.
- Upper Division Clerk (UDC): Bachelor’s Degree
- Data Entry Operator (DEO) Grade-II: 12th Passed
- Stenographer Grade-II: 12th Passed with shorthand
- Junior Laboratory Assistant: 12th Passed with Science.
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC): 12th Passed
- Field Attendant: 10th Passed.
- Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 10th Passed.
Age limit
The age limit for CPCB recruitment varies by post. For most posts, the upper age limit is 30 years, while some posts like MTS, LDC, DEO, and Field Attendant have an age limit of 18 to 27 years. Age relaxation is available for reserved categories as per government rules.
Salary
The salary for CPCB jobs depends on the post you apply for. It starts from around ₹18,000 per month for posts like Multi-Tasking Staff and goes up to ₹1,77,500 per month for higher-level roles. The salary will be given as per the 7th Pay Commission, along with other government allowances.
Selection process
Candidates will be selected based on a written exam. For some posts, a skill test like typing or data entry may also be conducted. For Scientist ‘B’, selection includes a written exam and an interview. Final selection will be based on merit, document verification, and medical fitness.
