Educational qualification
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Required: A Master’s degree in Botany or Natural Sciences with at least 55% marks.
- Preferred: Experience in fieldwork, plant taxonomy, and knowledge of GIS and computer applications.
Research Associate
- Required: A Ph.D. in Botany or Natural Sciences with relevant specialization.
- Preferred: Familiarity with the flora of Andaman, research experience, and skills in GIS and technical writing.
Field Assistant
- Required: At least a 12th-grade pass or a Bachelor’s degree in Botany.
- Preferred: Experience in field sample collection and basic computer skills.
Garden Assistant cum Multitask Assistant
- Required: 10th-grade pass.
- Preferred: At least 3 years of experience in garden maintenance.
Data Entry Operator cum Accountant
- Required: A Graduate degree in Commerce or a Diploma in Computer Applications/Accounting.
- Preferred: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and proficiency in computer applications.
Age limit
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Maximum age of 28 years.
- Research Associate: Maximum age of 40 years.
- Field Assistant: Maximum age of 30 years.
- Garden Assistant cum Multitask Assistant: Maximum age of 35 years.
- Data Entry Operator cum Accountant: Maximum age of 35 years.
Salary
The monthly salary for the positions in the BSI Recruitment 2025 varies based on the role. The Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position offers ₹31,000 along with HRA, while the Research Associate role comes with ₹47,000 (consolidated) plus HRA. For the Field Assistant and Garden Assistant cum Multitask Assistant roles, the salary is ₹18,000 (consolidated).
